The winner of the Gold Cup, which lies somewhere in the LME's store cupboards at the moment, was Ryan Jackson of AMT, playing off 8, with 36 points, who also added the longest drive to his prizes with a monster shot that must have measured around 280 yards into a breeze. Runner up was Dominic Boyle with 34 points. However, third placed Martin Abbott, with 33 points was able to add these to his Captains Day/Spring Meeting score of 38 to win the Aggregate Cup with 71 points, pipping Dominic by a point. Rob Draisey won the "nearest the pin" prize.
Life President Ivor Foster joined the players for luncheon.
There were two afternoon competitions - a four way challenge for the Charles Davis Salver, won by Mocatta (Alex Heath and Colin Griffith) from AMT (Ryan Jackson and Steven Smith) on a countback and a Greensomes competition won by Rob Draisey and David Littlestone beating Steve Waugh and Allan Kerr into second place.
